What you will practice

The course turns emotional intelligence into specific behaviors you can work on. Through assessment reflection, peer discussion, and interactive activities, you will practice how to:

  • Interpret your BlueEQ Assessment and identify strengths and development priorities.
  • Notice your responses under pressure and consider their effect on other people.
  • Listen to understand another perspective before responding.
  • Receive feedback and approach disagreement with greater awareness.
  • Recognize behaviors that help people contribute, ask questions, and learn.
  • Create a personal three-step development plan and choose behaviors to practice over the next 90 days.

For example, a tense feedback conversation gives you an opportunity to notice your reaction, listen to the other person, and choose a response that keeps the conversation productive. Your development plan helps you carry that practice back to work.

We don’t just teach Emotional Intelligence. We develop it.

Practice the moments that matter.

This highly interactive course connects your results to real conversations: listening under pressure, receiving feedback, responding to disagreement, and understanding your impact on others. You’ll practice with peers and build a personal three-step development plan you can use immediately.

The workshop starts your practice. After your initial assessment and workshop, spend 90 days working on your personal development plan with peer coaching and The BlueEQ Academy. Then take the assessment again to compare your results and choose your next priorities. Along the way, learn how emotionally intelligent behaviors create the conditions for psychological safety.

Plan corporate emotional intelligence training

Start with the workplace situations your team wants to handle more effectively: receiving feedback, communicating across functions, or responding constructively under pressure. Use those priorities to choose a format and a practical follow-up plan.

Before the workshop

Identify who will participate, the behaviors you want to develop, and the time available for learning and practice. Share your preferred dates, delivery location or time zones, and approximate participant count when requesting a proposal.

Confirm the session length, assessment arrangements, learning resources, and follow-up support included in your engagement. Private training is quoted for your organization’s goals and scope.

During and after the workshop

Connect assessment insights to practice with peers and a personal three-step development plan. Choose a behavior to use in a real conversation, then reflect on what happened and what to try next.

Plan regular opportunities to practice. Discuss peer coaching, BlueEQ Academy resources, and a 90-day assessment retake when agreeing on your team’s development plan.

Decide how you will review progress

Choose observable behaviors before training begins—for example, asking a clarifying question before responding to feedback or inviting a different perspective in a team discussion. Review examples with participants and use an assessment retake to support reflection. Assessment scores are one source of evidence; they do not by themselves establish changes in productivity or business performance.

Manufacturing case study · 2026

Building trust through emotional intelligence training

A mid-sized manufacturing organization wanted more consistent leadership behaviors, clearer communication, and stronger trust across teams. BlueEQ combined its self-assessment with interactive emotional intelligence workshops and group coaching at 30, 60, and 90 days.

Team members and senior leaders used a shared framework to reflect on their impact, practice emotional regulation under pressure, and strengthen relationship management. At the 90-day assessment retake, aggregate scores across the team and leadership group had increased:

Emotional intelligence

80% → 85%

5 percentage-point increase

Psychological safety

87% → 94%

7 percentage-point increase

Relationship management

78% → 85%

7 percentage-point increase

What the engagement involved

The organization manufactures engineered industrial equipment for industries including chemical processing, energy, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage production. The broader team completed the workshop first; senior leaders then participated in the same workshop and 90-day coaching journey to establish a shared approach across the organization.

How to interpret these results

The figures compare aggregate assessment scores before training and at the 90-day retake following workshops and group coaching. They describe one organization’s experience with the combined engagement, rather than isolating the effect of the workshop. The case study does not report participant counts or a comparison group, so these results should not be treated as a guaranteed outcome for other teams.
